Road To Your First Half Marathon Episode 2: My Current Running Favs

Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog and to my series all about running!

In this episode, I will share my all-time running favorites with you! Those are the things that have carried me this far on my running journey and that I could not imagine training without.

  1. Asics running shoes → I currently run in the Asics Novablast 5 and I love them 🫶🏼!

  2. Baby food pouches as a pre-run snack → Perfect for evening runs when I have already eaten during the day but just need a light snack to hold me over until dinner.

  3. Wearing a bun → Prevents split ends.

  4. Leggins > Shorts → To this day, I still prefer running in leggins. My fav running leggins are from Lululemon or Gymshark.

  5. Electrolytes and Gels from SIS (Science In Sport) → Electrolytes in Pink Grapefruit = bomb. Gels in Lemon & Lime = solid 6/10… so please send me your better flavor recs 🙏.

  6. High-support sports bras → My go-to brands are Adidas and Oysho.

  7. Planning routes with Komoot → A lifesaver in new cities — locals know best <3.

  8. My Garmin Forerunner 570 → Love her to death! My only complaint is that my skin sometimes gets itchy if I wear it for too long.

  9. Neck warmers in winter → Non-negotiable. My throat will immediately start to hurt after one run in the cold (+wind) if I do not wear any form of neck warmer.

  10. What is your best running fav so I can add it to my list and make it a top 10?

Personally, with these running favs, basically nothing can go wrong on your run ;).
